What happens in a Luciole science workshop?
Kids do the experiments themselves. An animator sets up the question, the group makes a guess, and then everyone gets their hands on the materials to find out. Our science and STEM sessions include:
- Slime: mixing, stretching and colouring their own batch.
- Volcanoes: building a model and making it erupt.
- Magnets: testing what sticks, what does not, and why.
- Simple circuits: connecting parts to light a small bulb.
Building challenges with blocks and wooden models often join in, because engineering is part of STEM too.
Which experiments do kids do, and what do they learn?

How do kids learn to think like scientists?
Every session follows the same simple rhythm, adapted to age:
- Observe: look closely, touch, describe what you see.
- Predict: what do you think will happen?
- Test: try it and compare with your guess.
A four-year-old will enjoy the surprise of a volcano; a nine-year-old will start asking why it worked and what to change next time.
Are the science workshops safe?
Yes. We use child-safe materials, and trained animators supervise every step in small groups. Experiments are chosen for little hands, and children are guided on how to handle each material. If your child has any concern we should know about, simply tell us on WhatsApp before the session.
Is it a screen-free activity?

Can we have a science-themed birthday party?
Yes. Every Luciole party includes a themed workshop for each child, and a slime or volcano workshop makes a memorable science party. Kids take their creation home. See the options on our birthday parties page. During school holidays, experiments are also part of our holiday camps, and children who prefer painting and clay can join our art classes.
