Luciole began with a question every parent knows: where do I leave my kids today? Between work, shopping, a doctor's appointment or a rare evening out with their husbands, Jinane and Sophanie kept running into the same problem. There was nowhere they trusted to leave their children for a few hours.
So they built it. Luciole is a safe space in Jounieh Souks where children spend good time, make things with their hands and learn new skills, while parents take the time they need, knowing their kids are in caring hands.
Meet the founders
Jinane and Sophanie are two moms and the co-founders of Luciole. Everything here, from how check-in works to what is on the café menu, comes from the questions they asked themselves as parents. They also write the answers in our Moms ask section and the articles in our journal.
Why the name Luciole?
Luciole is French for firefly. We wanted a place with the same gentle spark: warm, a little magical, and a light for parents who need a moment to breathe.
What we offer
- Supervised drop-off play by the hour, so you can work, run errands or see the doctor.
- Creative workshops: arts and crafts, building, cooking, music and sensory play for toddlers.
- Birthday parties with venue, kids' meal and a workshop, from $22 to $27 per child (minimum 20 children).
- Holiday camps during school breaks.
- A café and bistro for parents, a few steps from the atelier.
